Provisional Psychologist
I’m Isabella Tang, a Provisional Psychologist at Blossom Psychology Clinic, supporting clients through warm, thoughtful, and evidence-informed psychological care.
I am currently completing my Master of Psychology (Clinical) at Federation University. Through my training, I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families across school-based and community clinic settings. These experiences have strengthened my interest in understanding each person as an individual, including their story, relationships, strengths, and challenges.
Before beginning my psychology training in Australia, I supported perinatal women in a hospital setting in Singapore. This experience shaped the way I approach care, particularly the importance of compassion, cultural sensitivity, and understanding people within the context of their life stage, family, and support systems.
I have a strong interest in working with both children and adults. With children and young people, I enjoy working collaboratively with families and caregivers to support emotional wellbeing, anxiety, emotional regulation, school-related difficulties, and adjustment challenges. With adults, I am interested in supporting individuals in better understanding themselves, navigating difficult emotions, and making sense of patterns that may be affecting their well-being and relationships.
My therapeutic approach is collaborative and person-centred. I draw primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy principles, while tailoring therapy to each client’s needs, goals, and pace. I believe therapy is most helpful when clients feel safe, respected, and understood, and I value taking the time to learn about each person beyond their presenting concerns.
I am passionate about creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard, build insight, develop coping skills, and move towards meaningful change in a way that feels manageable and authentic to them.
Languages: English and Mandarin.
